Wild Wanderers brings together high-quality outdoor education and meaningful experiences for both children and organisations. Rooted in the Forest School ethos, we specialise in creating engaging, nature-based opportunities that support development, wellbeing, and connection. From inspiring woodland sessions for children to tailored provision for schools, families, and alternative education pathways, our work is built around hands-on learning, curiosity, and confidence-building. Alongside this, we extend our expertise into the corporate world, delivering unique outdoor experiences that promote teamwork, resilience, and wellbeing in a natural setting. Whether at our woodland site or a location of your choice, Wild Wanderers provides adaptable, professional, and enriching outdoor experiences for all.

Wild Wanderers was founded by Emma Cox and Elaine Jeffery, brought together by a shared belief in the power of the outdoors to support growth, wellbeing, and meaningful learning. What began as a passion for working with children has grown into a dynamic outdoor provision that now supports individuals, schools, families, and organisations alike.
Between us, we bring over 20 years of experience across education, outdoor learning, and land-based practice. Wild Wanderers was created to offer more than just sessions—it is about creating purposeful outdoor experiences that build confidence, encourage collaboration, and inspire curiosity. While much of our work centres around children and young people, we also design and deliver corporate experiences that use the natural environment to strengthen teamwork, communication, and resilience.
Our work spans a wide range of provision, including forest school sessions, alternative provision, SEND support, holiday programmes, and home education. Alongside this, we deliver corporate events, private hire experiences, and consultancy for schools and organisations looking to embed outdoor learning into their practice.
We are continuing to develop Wild Wanderers as a recognised Alternative Provision, supporting children who benefit from a different approach to learning, while also expanding our corporate and organisational offer to meet the growing need for wellbeing-focused, nature-based experiences.
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We work alongside educators, mentors, and local organisations to create rich, inclusive opportunities that draw on a wide range of skills and perspectives. By combining our backgrounds in education, agriculture, and forest school leadership, we create environments where both children and adults can challenge themselves, develop new skills, and reconnect with the natural world.
